Rockport Fishing Guide
Capt. Lloyd Jones
Capt. Lloyd Jones is a USCG Licensed, insured in-shore fishing guide. He started fishing at a young age in stock ponds and creeks around San Antonio, Texas. He was first introduced to saltwater fishing in middle school during family vacations to Rockport and Port Aransas. After graduation he became an insurance adjuster that sent him all over the country working catastrophe claims but always found time to break away and get a little salt water therapy.
He married his best friend Diana in 1999 and they have fished the Rockport area ever since. In 2005 he started fishing redfish tournaments including the FLW, IFA Redfish Series and Texas Redfish Series. Fishing tournaments got him hooked on sight casting to fish and he has never looked back.
The Transition to Rockport Fishing as a Career Guide
After 15 years in the insurance industry he found himself needing more and more salt water therapy and decided that he needed to change careers and started Skinny Water Addiction in 2012.
He offers fly-fishing and sight casting fishing trips along the coastal bend of Texas and specializes in sight casting to trophy redfish, trout and tarpon in a Hell’s Bay Professional boat. He also offers wade fishing trips to those who like to stalk fish on foot. He has no greater pleasure than watching clients catch their first sight casted game fish.
