There’s just something special about standing on the front of a flats boat, being slowly pushed around and sight fishing for redfish on the shallow Texas flats. Then, once you spot a fish, making that perfect cast with a fly rod and watching the eat.
This week has been great for doing just that. The fish have been milling around looking for food and a well placed fly has been readily consumed. There have been plenty of shots and if you can get your fly in front of the fish, there has been lots of fish fighting action.
